– and we’re here to answer them!
So… what’s changing?
The simple answer: a few key things, but also not much at all.
Like we mentioned in our Instagram post and email blast, we haven’t changed ownership or leadership, we still stand behind our same values and mission, and our sister enterprise, MiXX projects isn’t going anywhere.
Since we opened our doors in 2014, both our fine art gallery and lifestyle boutique have existed under the same name in a separate-but-connected space, MiXX projects + atelier. We have grown a lot over the last ten years – and we want to continue growing, both in and outside of our beautiful box canyon home. In an effort to honor the ways we’ve changed and grown, we’ve decided to rebrand the fine art sector of our business to clarify our values, mission, and identity as we strive to give our artists the best support we possibly can. We know supporting living artists is important to you too, and we believe this change will help us platform our amazing artist roster and expose their work to the larger audience it deserves.
Why Milk Moon?

The full moon in May is known most commonly by two names: the Flower Moon or the Milk Moon. Appearing as the cold high alpine spring begins to melt into summer, it is a harbinger of new life, growth, nourishment, and creative energy. In the spirit of our celestial namesake, our mission as a gallery is to embody our love for art in a nurturing, generative space where artists, collectors, and creatives of all kinds can sustain one another.
This year, May’s full moon will rise on May 12th (tonight, if you’re reading this in real time!) and we couldn’t think of a better time to unveil our gallery rebrand.
