About Milk Moon
Milk Moon is a contemporary art gallery in Telluride, Colorado showcasing emerging artists. Our roster includes technically innovative national and international artists, and we work to center diverse voices and unique perspectives on the American West and Southwest. We aim to broaden the scope of our often narrow cultural conversation regarding the Wild West and Rural Americana. We are a woman-owned and led space, committed to fostering community and providing an inviting, inclusive environment for discourse and exploration.
At Milk Moon, we believe that art is a form of communion. We believe that art can thrive in unlikely places and transcend boundaries. Relationships are at the heart of what we do, and we take a people-first approach to every aspect of our business.
The Milk Moon arrives in May, the fifth full moon of the calendar year. Appearing as the cold high alpine spring begins to melt into summer, it is a harbinger of new life, growth, nourishment, and creative energy. In the spirit of our celestial namesake, our mission as a gallery is to embody our love for art in a nurturing, generative space where artists, collectors, and creatives of all kinds can sustain one another.
